6/20/22 Valley of the Moon, 4-ball Club Championship
On a beautiful June morning, the last day of Spring, Valley of the Moon Golf Course was a great place to be, reminding us all of why we live in Sonoma County.
A great competition for our first annual 4-Ball Club Championship, and a fun gathering afterwards!
Congratulations to our 2022 4-Ball Champions, TJ Albrecht and Ron Leidl!
Congratulations also to the teams who qualified for the NCGA Senior 4-Ball sectionals (see details on Home page)

3/14/22 Rooster Run Member/Guest Scramble
A gorgeous afternoon in Petaluma, a golf course in fine shape, a bunch of great friends and occasionally great golfers, as well as the usual turkeys (literally) AND two natural eagles on the 10th hole - who could ask for anything more? Thanks for playing in our scramble, everyone seemed to like the format so let's do it again next year!

9/15/20 Senior 4-Ball Champions
Congratulations to Dave DeLao and Dan Padilla, who won the NCGA 2-Man Best Ball (Four-Ball) tournament at Poppy Ridge on September 14-15. It all started last October in our qualifier at Bodega. Dan and Dave advanced to the sectional round held at Santa Rosa Country Club on August 26 and again qualified there. In the finals they tied for first and then won the playoff. Dan scorched the earth with a 75 which included a back-nine 34! You can read about it at:

Dave: It was pretty fun. Great to be a part of it. After Day 1 we were tied for 3rd.
Dan sunk a 12’ putt for birdie on the last hole to clinch the lead. Day 2, front nine we made the turn with only -2 for the day. Then somehow got our act together, and shot a -10 on the back nine, -12 for the day. Dan birdied two holes (net eagles) that were the big difference. Ham and egged pretty good. Fun stuff.
Dan: Our strategy was to play better than the team we played with. We thought -9 each day would probably win, place or show. On Day 2 the team we played played better than us on the front, and I remember saying to Dave, “they're kicking our butt! Let’s go!”. And the rest is history!
Ed Soler, “Wow! A round for the ages. Well done, guys!”
